there are some camp sites that are free near the dead sea , one of them is the "Ein Gedi" capm site . it has nice acsses to the sea and also a good maitened faciletis .
the down side is that because it is an open camp site you may find it a bit nosy (well , a lot ) on weekends (mostly on Thu and Fri ) , Sun and mid week are fine and quiet.

Have fun.

u should also check metzokei dargot which is 25 minutes drive north from ein gedi its a very good place for camping the shore itself is beautiful and it combines sweet water fountains from the cliffs and the sour water from the dead sea drinking water is to be found in a military block on the road just above the beach

anyway camping in the dead sea is recomended in winter time and not so much in july-august

from what i checked, your recomendations only refer to the northern part of the dead sea. is it possible to camp for free also in it's southern parts?

there are two places that i know of at the south side of the dead sea:

"Ein Bokek" beach, near the dead sea hotels

"Neve Zohar" beach near the "Neve Zohar" settlement .

the first one is crowded due to the proximity to the dead sea hotels.

Have fun

please note that traveling in the dead sea coastline in unofficial beaches or at night time is a bit hazardous due to Sinkholes (a large hole in the ground caused by the drainage of the dead sea). at day time they are a great attraction.
