Tthe Golan height's is a region at the northern part of Israel.The Glan borders with Syria in the east and with the Jordan river (within Israel)in the west. It is a wonderful place the travel to in the winter(when it is snowy) and in the spring (when the Golan is covered green as far as the eye sees).
The Syrian border is known to be a quit border with no security issues for more then 30 years.
Look for info on the "Golan Trail" that crosses the Golan heights from north to south.
