Slow Travel is a part of the Slow Movement, which emphasizes the connection to local peoples and cultures, the connection to food and the connection to families.

Slow Travel is often a money-saving travel – by using vacation rentals and lodges instead of hotels, eating home food instead of eating in restaurants, walking and biking instead of flying...

The Slow Travel mode of travel is easier on the environment and is more eco-friendly than other types of travel.
